  • Green Tea

    Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can answer this for me. Is hot green tea allowed, i stopped coffee but wanted something for the warmth so i have been drinking the green tea with one stevia.

    That's what I drink. As long as it's decaffinated Dr. A says it's fine. I like it or Chamomile tea. Chamomile is a great tea because it's an anti fungul as well. It would help with candida.

      i have a cup everyday at work at 1030am.....you can set your watch by it. i keep it right on my desk next to a jar of almonds.....these two things consist of my mid morning snack

        Green tea is fine... just don't go over your sweetner allowance.

          I'm guessing that you asked this on the candida forum because of the yeast-free diet. The answer is no to green tea. All coffee grounds and tea leaves have molds--same reason you can't have dried or powdered spices and herbs. Or nuts, for that matter.

          I have never looked at the ingredients in Stevia, but if it has maltodextrin, you can't have it. What am I thinking! Stevia is crushed plant/herb leaves--so that's a no, too.

          I didn't drink chamomile tea for the 14 days I was on the diet, but since it is a strong anti-fungal, you probably could. I drank it the whole time I was on antibiotics for this last surgery, and I don't have the yeast overgrowth back. I stuck with the coconut oil and took extra probiotics.
