  • Fat intake Question

    Since I eliminated cheese and all dairy my fat intake has dropped dramatically. No Mayo, no butter, no sour cream, no whipping cream, --- OK, i know I could be eating olive oil but there's only so much of that I can put on a salad and without the vinegar---well, it just doesn't work too well. Lately I've been eating my homemade turkey vegetable soup---UMMMM but no fat in there. What fats could I be eating? and, how to consume those fats?

    I'm on Day 4, haven't seen a change in the weight, and boy do I miss my cheese. DANDR says that mozzarella and cream cheese are OK to eat while trying to get the yeasty things under control -- what do you think about eating it? Have you? Mozzarella and cream cheese are the two cheeses that I probable have eaten the most of during this last year too.

    You really should get that fat up. I am not on the Yeast diet so I really can't help, but maybe if I bump it up, someone will come and help.

      well did you know if you take that banned dairy butter melt it and pour off the white floating stuff you have now left whay is called clarified butter and that is very friendly for the anticandidas diets?

      You can saute your meats in it or olive oil. you can add some to your soups to get the fats up. you can select fattier cuts of meat to have your fats up dark meat over white meat, ground chuck instea of sirloin and things like that to get your Atkins fats in.

        I use lemon juice with my olive oil for salad dressing. I also marinate sirloin steak in lemon juice and olive oil. I use grease off of meats to season my veggies. If you can buy fresh side pork it is a good source of fat. Fresh side pork is uncured bacon, I order it thru my grocery store.

          thanks for the idea with the lemon juice and the side of pork.

          BTW, my 6 month stall is broken and I'm down 2-1/2# now. Just at 10 days or so into this cleanse too. ':yes'

                I would love to have tuna with mayo again, soon. Or mayo on my hard boiled egg.
