  • I have Candida and a question

Hi everyone, I was told I had Candida by my homeopath a couple of months ago but didn't really think anything of it. Now that I've hit in a major stall with my weightloss, it is making me think, lol! Yesterday i started my first day of the CAD. I am solely living on meat, eggs and veggies, drinking my water and a cleansing tea, plus taking my vitamns, especially the ACV (tastes pretty good IMO) and the OoO (nasty!). I can't wait to see if helps me break out of this stall and rids me of the yeast!
Thanks for the awesome links and info!

Question: Once one gets rid of Candida, can it return? Especially if one is following Atkins, is it possible?

    Thanks!

I hate to say YES it can return, but that is the truth. It can!

Everyone's body is different and you will have to experiment with foods and find out what foods are causing you the proplems. Only doing this after you have the yeast under control. There isn't one solution that fits us all. It is like a science project. I am still working on what causes my yeast problem to resurface at times.

My yeast problem was caused by years of taking to much antibiotics as a child. I have suffered with yeast overgrowth symptoms for as long as I can remember.

I know all about the stalled weightloss because of yeast. It is so discouraging, but don't give up. With information here on this site you can find a solution.

If I can be of any more help, let me know.

You should try the OoO in capsule form so you don't have to taste the bitterness.

Be sure and take a good probiotic acidolphilus 2- 3 times a day, if you aren't already as this is a major part of rebuilding and ridding your system of the yeast. Also garlic in tablets or fresh will help with the die off.

And yes sometimes it does return, you just have to be aware of it and adjust your diet accordingly.
Good luck to you and keep us posted on your success!

I am the one that originally started this thread months ago and I have basically stuck to the CAD and I have NEVER felt or looked better!!! I know it works and it works well!!! you will have to slowly introduce the foods back in one at a time to see if you are able to tolerate them or not.

I'm surprised your homeopathy doctor didn't put you on a colon cleanse to help with Candida because that is always the first approach to cleanse the body and good health. That is a lifetime maintenance; not an option, but a must; for overall good health.

they didn't tell you there are things yo can do to avoid reinfestation as much as possible one is using the probiotics to control the intestinal pH as the candida don't like that pH.

You can wash very carefully your fresh veggies and fruits when you get there to remove any mold spores
you can avoid those foods that are know to have possible contamination from your diet like dried fruits, veggies, and spices and only use washed fresh ones. you can avoid tea coffee and any thing with cocoa in it as the leaves and beans are exposed to mold when they are drying.

there are several other possible sources like fermented foods and beverages and aged foods that use molds for the flavorings like cheeses.

I'm sure those doing this program can give you a more comprehensive list of possible recontaminat foods to avoid.

            Happy low carbing.
