'Degrees' to the test?

Are there 'degrees' in the spit test?

When I first took it I had instant (disgusting and fascinating all at once!) confirmation... my kids thought it was cool!

Then I did it again yesterday, out of curiosity, and it took much longer for the positive results to show (not nearly as cool, as a matter of fact, my kids took off before much happened!).

So this is one way to measure your progress?? Besides yeast infections, sinus infections, major allergies, stallling wt. loss, I don't have feedback on the yeast. It's going to be difficult to judge how the food I'm eating is affecting me once I go back to trying to incorporate some back into my diet... any suggestions?

I can tell from my own experience that as time went and I was getting rid of the terrible yeasties, the spit test I did every morning seemed to show less signs of yeast. I would write in my journal how it looked and would comment if it appeared better or worse.

Eventually I would do the test and the results showed no signs. Guess I could say it floated.

I have not heard if there are different degrees, but I saw the results improve as the weeks went by.

Cool. How long did it take for you to get this result? I know that everyone is different, and it will depend somewhat on how badly the yeasties have 'dug in'... but I'm curious, did it take 6 wks?
