    Yeast from cream?!?

Hi All. I kind of have a disgusting yeast problem in a place of the body that's just not normal - my belly button.

When I've been on Atkins, it's never flared up. I'm on my eighth day of induction, and the last couple of days I have slowly added heavy cream back into my diet. But I've also been having a flare up for the last couple of days. Could this be it? Or is it most likely because there's hidden sugars in something I could have been eating?

Also, I was seeing something about a spit test for yeast... can anyone tell me what that means?

Hi, hun, I wouldn't think of cream as the first culprit but I guess anything is possible. You are not using any vinegars or eating mushrooms?

Here is a link to the spit test.

I cant stand either vinegar OR mushrooms LoL.

Im eating an incredibly low amount of cheese - maybe 2 ounces every couple of days or so. I cant think of anything fermented - but cream, I KNOW was something I changed..

Hmm.. the mystery goes unsolved. Thank you for the link to the test!

I wouldn't think cream to be the culprit either. Hmmmm....
