How would you suggest a pregnant woman handle candida?

I have noticed a white coating on the back of my tongue and a sour taste in my mouth after I eat.

Talk to you doctor about.
And don't be too quick to diagnose. Many interesting things happen to us when we are pregnant. so this may just be one of them. Keep being healthy, exercise, do not overeat and go for check ups.
