Simple Home Candida Test:
Try this simple test to see if you have a candida yeast infection. First thing in the morning, before you put ANYTHING in your mouth, get a clear glass. Fill with water and work up a bit of saliva, then spit it into the glass of water. Check the water every 15 minutes or so for up to one hour. If you have a yeast infection, you will see strings (like legs) traveling down into the water from the saliva floating on the top, or "cloudy" saliva will sink to the bottom of the glass, or cloudy specks will seem to be suspended in the water.

If there are no stings and the saliva is still floating after at least one hour, you are probably yeast infection free.

Becky Sue - thats a good tst - I will try it. Do you know the reasons why this happens to the saliva in a yeast-infected person. Any scientific insight?

I am not a medical professional, so I don't have this answer for you. Your doctor can answer this.

I do know from eating low carb, my reflux has gone away. But I have a hiatal hernia. Most of the people on my mom's side of the family have this hernia. I must have inherited it.

I think I'll give it a try and eat more low-carb food and see what happens. I'll post my progress here.

Should I repeat it for a couple days in a row or do it once a week? (Does it matter?)

The spit test is just a way of telling if you have a problem with yeast. I do this test just every once in a while to see if I am getting better or if it appears to get worse. The test isn't that important.

I Have been using Oil of Organo, Caprylic Acid & Garlic in the morning and Accidophlis Pills at night but yeast have not gone away and my vaginal flora is off, please help

Sorry to hear of your problems, shontay.

The only suggestions I have is for you to eat the strict, KISS diet. It is listed in the Stickys on this forum. You may even have to do the gold Standard version of the diet.

I understand the vaginal problems you are experiencing and it may be that you need to go and see your Dr. for a prescription. Resently I had to get a prescription of nystatin cream. I, to, am having these problems now.

I haven't been restricting my diet of the yeast growing foods and now I am paying too.

I hope you get relief soon. Let me know how you are doing.

What is the Gold Standard of the KISS Diet
