  • Can't get my calories up

I'm having trouble on the KISS version in getting my calories up to just below 2500. That is what I am supposed to be eating, and yet I'm having a hard time breaking 1200 some days with just meat and veggies. I'm eating the skin on my chicken, not trimming the fat on my beef and pork, and I'm already including 2 T. of olive oil. On Friday, I ended up having to included 6 T. of olive oil to get my fats to the necessary level, and yet my calories were still only in the 1400 range. I already feel like I'm eating a gross amount of food. :yikes Someone have any tips for getting my calories up without adding illegal foods?

    Thanks.

One way to up your calories is to add a few more ounces of meat.

Are you losing weight while eating around 1400 calories?

I am not counting calories, I try to add more carbs from different vegetables and salads. Some nuts and almonds, olive oil, avocado, eggs, meats, coconut oil. ha

I'm having the opposite problem to you maribelle... I eat too many calories!!!

I find most my calories come from eating omega-3-rich foods like salmon & mackeral (I eat these just about everyday), eggs (have around 3 a day), shrimp (love these), adding a few more tablespoons of olive oil in foods, having aioli (garlic mayo) with my steaks & fish, pure mince beef sausages for breakfast, avocado - these foods put my calories up, so maybe try these?

          Cheers

PS and I'm still lowing weight
