  • Been testy lately

    I'm on day 14 of Induction, and since I've started I've been in a rather bad mood (or easily moved to one). Is this normal and will it normal out after my body completely adjusts to this new metabolism? I've been taking all my meds as prescribed, but I've been snippy and in a funk.
    Any thoughts?

    It might not be the norm, but it's not unheard of. Be sure to keep in contact with your doctor about possibly needing to adjust your meds, or at least just to let him know how you're doing.

    Also talk to him about the supplements you're taking in case something is interferring with your meds. Less likely, but always possible.

    Hang in there! It's not always easy, but it is worth it. Have you been getting regular exercise in also?

      It's probably related to the fatigue you mentioned.
      Hopefully they will both clear up.

          Hmmm. My partner, who is 100% supportive of my diet, says that he is concerned that my overall demeanor has taken a turn for the worse since beginning the diet about a month ago. I thought after my induction flu finally cleared that things were A-OK, but I have to admit that he has a point. I have still been rather unstable. I don't really want to stop the diet, because it is working, however if it's between my mental health and my ego over a few pounds, I would have to choose the mental health. I kinda don't know what to do.
          Feel like I'm stuck between a rock and hard place.

          Any advice?

            I had that "feedback" too.
            For me exercise helps my mood a lot. I definitely feel better on days I work out (unless I overdo it)
            Since you're ~25lbs from goal have you moved on to OWL? That might help too. Also burning fat releases the fat-soluable hormones so it wouldn't matter which diet you are on if this is the case.

              Thanks for the advice. I have moved out of Induction and am starting to include a variety of different foods. Mostly I've been working on new veggies, and higher carb counts...mostly from veggies. I'm keeping myself under 35 carbs until I see if more weight comes off and if I'll have to adjust, but I anticipate upping carbs some more, come next month.
