  • Man this sux...

Ive been dealing with depression my whole life off and on...ive never had issues with PPD after giving birth, so i dont know too much about it...

Sara is three weeks old today, i wont go into great detail but Ive really been feeling crappy lately...very very depressed, weepy etc etc...could it be PPD or just the old stuff creeping back up or what?

I just hate this tho...just a few days ago i was the happiest gal on earth with my Sara Bugs and Jes and Josh and the worlds greatest husband...now....everything just sux...

Call the dr and talk to her/him about it. Better safe than sorry, my friend!

Echo this... my BF thought she could "get through it", because she REALLY DOES have the most wonderful hubby, and her children are angels ( I dont take mine around too much cause it makes them look bad ) ) ... but she just got worse and worse till it was scary. Even the most amazing mom, with the most amazing family and life is affected by hormones and chemicals...

Never hurts to say, hey doc, this is whats up, and you DID say that you had a great relationship with him. He would probably know right away whether to be worried about it or not.

yep call the doc and get the info you need. wanting to be happy and deserving to be happy do not make you happy when chems are out of balance and after birth they are all wacko.

It may be the same old stuff creeping in, but no matter WHAT it is, you need to call the doctor. You do NOT need to suffer!!!!!

PPD is really awful and scary. Depression by itself is, but when combined with the whacky hormone stuff, it's UUUUUGGGGGGGGLLLLLLLYYYYYY.

Despite what Tom Cruise says, PPD is very REAL and very debilitating.

If you haven't seen your doctor yet, DO.

There's no shame in getting help, and it's only temporary.
