  • Depression's setting in!!!

UGH! Here we go. It's one of those weeks where nothing seems to be going right, there's no money for Christmas, and my boss is piling on the work..... I'm so bummed out and I feel like crap. I haven't lost one pound in a week and a half! sigh.

I think it's SAD, but also everything going on. I've upped my meds today to double, maybe that'll help!

I'm so tired of on-going depression. It sucks! Don't ya guys just get sick of it after awhile?!!!!!

I know some days it seems like a never ending battle to stay on top of the depression. I also know, though, that giving into it is far worse.

While the scale isn't moving, is the tape measure? I've gone for a week or two and lost not a pound, but inches galore. Someone told me that the scale is evil, and I've decided they were right.

have you talked withh yor doc about SAD and the use of bright lights to assist in getting more Serotonin produced?

I'm sorry you are feeling dowm. how about sitting down and rethinking that presents no money thing. You can make evrybody a gift that would be better then any store bought one. My sister one yr was cash strapped and gave us all gift certificated for services she would preform for us like cleaning sitting shopping stuff she knew the person who she gave it to didn't like to do it or needed help with it. Like story book reading to a young relative.DIdn't cost her much money for the certificates she made but cashing them in was great fun and that gift has stuck with me for the last 30 yrs. please Remember this is a time of love not commercial items.

Can't help with the end of yr crunch at work but in this time of layoffs and declining job market that looks like a good sign for you.

Whooshie fairy was visiting the board maybe you could invite her down your chimmey with a bribe of some extra exercise and that would help your job stress and depression too.

are you kidding? I'm so sick of it I could spit. Seriously. This is really ridiculous - it's been 2 years now and I can't kick it. I've been on and off depressed for 15 years now. I wish I could find a way to get rid of it.

Thanks toobig. But I've got my family covered I always make stuff, and this year my boss gave me tons of free material, so it's not costing anything. It's my kids I'm worried about. They're too young not to believe in Santa, but too old to know that they didn't get the stuff they wanted....

How do you explain to a 5 and 7 year old that Santa is in the poor house this year?!!!!

you don't. you just give them what you can and then they ooh and ahhh over what they got cause their mama has raised them right and they know they don't always get everything they want cause Santa has to share will all the boys and girls.

Concentrate on what they play with the most type of stuff. My parents still talk about the yr we got mini rocking chairs and politely rocked in them for pics then grab the big boxes they came in and played all day with them.

One year my parents were broke, - not sure what happened exactly. But we got tiny (monetry wise) gifts for christmas - however they wrapped them all up individually and put them in a big stocking, and to us it was the best christmas ever.
