Canuck, with the board being down, this sort of got lost- but count me in! I have gotten sloppy with the carb counting as well. And those darn nuts are my downfall. I have tried to add them in a couple of times and they are like eating potato chips to me! So the challenge for me is:
1- count those carbs- each and every one!
      2- ditch the nuts
3- water- I don't drink enough- but I can't go crazy on the water
because when I do- I get this pain where my kidneys are- don't
really know why- but I have no problem if I don't overdo it.

Hi Everyone. Glad the board is back up. Welcome Julie and Sassyone. Sorry nuts are such a trigger for you Canuck. I'm afraid to start eating nuts, because it would be difficult to eat small quantities.

I bought a Toaster Oven/Convention Oven/Rottisserie on Thursday. DH and I had rottisserie chicken last night, I had mine with salad and DH had his with peas.YUMM. Today I am making chicken stock with the bones, and its chicken, mushroom and broccoli stirfry in a spicy sauce tonight. DH will have his with lomein noodles. I have also made crab stuffed mushroom caps in the new oven, heavenly. As long as I don't get bored with my menu, I think I can make it to Christmas without any of the illegal treats. All suggestions on interesting meals that fit induction would be welcome.

Checked my weight at the doc's office on Thursday and it seems I'm down 50 pounds since I started in March. :joy My BP is still the same at 135/85, and Dr. is worried and may change my meds. I have a new req. for blood work and he will decide when he sees results.

Stay strong everyone. Drink your water. Only 3 weeks until Christmas, we can do this.

I am painting today and not drinking water so am off to get a pitcher and put it beside me, in the winter I don’t want water. I wonder if there is any studies about this, interesting how we all fall down on our water in the winter.
I hid the nuts, will use them over Christmas when we have company, if out I eat them........taster oven sounds nice binsk.
I used to have one. I bake allot of stuff as like smell in house.

Good idea to hide the nuts Canuck. Keep drinking that water. What suggestions does the group have for legal snacks that are convenitent during this busy time of year?

Tonight I a making rouladen stuffed with roasted red peppers for dinner. I think it will go well with a greek salad.

Only 20 days to go...we can do this.

Drink your water everyone, you need it to lose weight. Try drinking a 10 oz. glass for every verse of the 12 days of Christmas HEHE.

Canucks going to be walking away those pounds
So when will you be posting about your great workout? You do know your muscles will respond by super hydrating and you may see a temp gain on the scales from this fluid with your new workout program. Once your muscles figure out you aren't in danger and are just doing this for fun :yikes :yikes :yikes they will release the fluids.

Boy dropping my carbs and having some cheese and pickles before bed has dropped my bg every morning to 5 (90).........I was often closer to a 6.
I have not lost any more but feel smaller in stomach, man it is hard to drink that water in the cold.
Here is my sunset last night, wasn't it gorgeous.

Beautiful sunset Canuck. It probably wouldn'st hurt to drink some of your water as green tea throughout the day, might ward off the cold.
Tonight, DH and I go out for my friends 40th birthday. Will see if I can order wings with hot sauce and a large salad. I'll tell them to leave the water pitcher on the table, because I am the designated driver.

Tomorrow is our Xmas celebration with my inlaws. They usually go to the Dominican or some other hot spot for Xmas. For dinner I am bringing mashed cauliflower, legal stuffing, legal cranberry sauce, and legal mushroom gravy for myself. That way I don't need to worry about my blood sugar.

I had my lab work done this morning. I will post my results in about a week when they come back.

Have a good weekend everyone. Drink your water. Only 2 weeks left, we can do this.

I'm doing much better with my water now, uhhh weird maybe, but then again not? , but when I don't exercise as much its harder to drink more water? I slacked on my exercise with a bunch of 1 mi WATP for a week or so, until Fri when I walked 3, Sat walked 2 and 1.25 in 20 min on the treadmill this morning after working night shift (I could have done more, but was almost falling asleep walking--I was walking as fast as comfortable to avoid that, but it didnt help-I actually worked out because I was so tired I was afraid to drive and thought it might perk me up enough to get home). I was ok to drive home, since I got heated up and it was 12 wind chill when I walked out of the fitness ctr a block to the car and DH/kids were cooperative and I got a little over 8 hrs sleep finally! I went from Fri 5am until Sat 9 am with no sleep and then only got a little less than 5 hrs Saturday. I've been watching my menu very closely and it's doing great carb wise, but my bs are up a bit. I'm thinking it's the lack of sleep and working nights. After tonight, I'm off for a week and not back on nights until 1-7, so I will be watching more closely to see if they drop down with the proper rest I need. I am down 4 lbs since 11-30 when I went to Drs office! I still have 2 lbs to my Christmas goal, and am afraid I won't make that, but you never know, since the whoosie fairy can come and visit just any time! Since I'm on vacation, and the kids are in daycare/school 2 days this week I'm hoping for a little more gym time along with my WATP tapes! Sorry so long, just wanted to update!

Wow Laura, goodonya, doing better than me, I still am having trouble with water.
I read night shift and shift changes is a stress on bode and can alter BG. Also exercise can temp alter bg but in long run they will drop. I can’t recall the physiological words but 2 big can tell you when she comes along.
If not drinking enough and exercising as well it can pump up BG….dehyration??
Man I feel for ya not enough sleep and little ones.
My son and gf are home for holidays and we have been going out and cooking lots, am ok at meals but when they snack on tacos and make grilled cheese in evening I am back on the dam nuts but the jar is finished now so that’s a good thing. I just wish I were as disciplined as last Christmas, not gaining but not losing and a standstill for soooo long.
I have started the treadmill too but due to injury can do about 15 min a day at 3 to 3.5 mph so it’s a clip for me.2big how the heck do you manage to type on computer and use treadmill, I am trying to read and can’t!!!!
                            :yikes
