I have one more event to attend before this Christmas celebrating is past history.
Me and DH will go back to my mom's for supper. My DB and his family will be there and my DD and her family. There will be 11 of us there. While the rest of the family will be eating forbidden foods, I will focus on just being happy to be with my family. I don't let food get under my skin. Which means food no longer rules my thoughts. Thank you, Dr. Atkins! Instead of living to eat, I now eat to live. WOO HOO! It is wonderful to have this control.

We are having the gift exchange and eat supper together.

You know we have to plan, plan and plan some more if we are going to stay legal. I refuse to CHEAT!

I am taking a big pot of hamburger stew(legal for me). I am also taking for the others. brown beans and ham and two large pans of cornbread. My DB's wife will be bring, who knows what. But I will be eating just my stew and drinking lots of water. love that water!

At Thanksgiving, they brought sugar free pies from Walmart and tried to convience me that they would be OK for me to eat . I just looked at the label just for curiousity sake and stepped back. Later I heard that they all got sick from eating them, diahreah. The carbs were real high and I knew they were the kiss of death for me! So I was proud that I had the power to leave it alone.
Wonder if they will bring more sugar-free pies today. Think not!

I hope everyone is having the best Christmas ever. I know I sure am.

My dad died of diabetes/heart attack, at age 65. If I hadn't worked at getting my health in order, I would have been a diabetic for sure.

I didnt do illegal but did carb creep and am back on induction today and feel good about it. I too would have went nuts a few yrs ago with food but now dont.

I am having a tuff time, totally outta control. I received a PM all for going back on induction after the holiday and I am all for it. I would like to induct for at least a month and spend time in the gym EVERYDAY in January. dear lord I hope I can do it. I feel really icky. :confused

Oh, kitty I am so happy you heard my pm. I went back on induction yesterday, it is a tad harder than first time but is ok, I don’t feel as hungry as have been and feel smaller, must drink my water and am going on the treadmill and I hate it. So c'mon stick with us and we'll use some duct tape and keep ya on the wagon with us. :wave
