Diabetec question

Sorry I don't know where to post this yet.

I just got off the phone with a friend. She and her husband have diabetes. Her husband's bloodsugar is off the charts and he got it down to 500. No lie. I am trying to get her to talk to him about Atkins. He is overweight but has about given up, he drinks diet drinks and that's about it. Those of you who pray, pray they will get onboard and find their way here. I'll give them directions but I think its gonna take an act of God for them to follow threw!!! Their names are Bill and Julie.

I'm so sorry about your friends.

People have to decide on their own when they're miserable enough to want to change their lifestyle.

My Dad had diabetes late in life, took care of himself and had few problems from it.

My ex-husband on the other hand DOESN'T keep it under control and now has kidney failure and congestive heart failure. The kids went over there this weekend and he had 2 bowls of banana pudding-not sugar free.

I know you love them and are doing your best for them. You're being a really good friend and giving them great advice. I'll pray for them, too, and hope they find their way here.

So sorry to hear about your friend's problems, Rita. Hopefully, with your continued encouragement they will take a look at , and the Diabetic Forum in particular.

If you have the book, maybe you can show it to them.
