I am having a hard time, even with the atkins diet, maintaining my blood sugar levels. I was talking to a man from here who said that he was thinking about going on the needle because in the long run they save your internal organs from damage that pills can cause over the years. My questions are 1)is the needle better for maintaining sugar levels? 2)In canada, is the insulin cheaper therapy than pills? 3)is any of the costs asciated with the injected diabetes meds covered under provincial health care?
I am asking opinions here so I can arm myself with a bit of knowledge when I go see my doctor. If you are on the needle or are contimplating going on it, I would appreciate a bit of insight as to the pros and cons of it. Thanks
