Hello everyone. I posted my story in the introduction forum, but I want to post part of it here too. I have been doing Atkins for about 3 1/2 weeks now. Or at least I thought I was. But I have been using fitday.com since Monday, which corrected my still too high carb intake, and have seen my my blood glucose values drop sharply. On Monday my first morning reading was 263. The very next day I was down to 195. Yesterday 171. Today it was 145. I am soooooo looking forward to getting off all my medications (diabetes and high blood pressure). My doctor told me it would take months to get my sugar under control. Is he going to be surprised when he sees me again in 2 months, lol.
To those of you thinking of giving up, please don't. Follow the program the way Dr. Atkins wrote it, and track what you eat. I was surprised to find out I was still eating too many carbs. I'm so glad I kept at it and didn't throw in the towel.
