Hi Everyone,
I'm new, and started this plan about 3 weeks ago when I discovered my "diet control" diabetes was way out of control. My fasting levels were 105-125 until about 1 month ago. They went up to 230 in the morning, 178 at night. I started then plan because I do not want to take meds like the rest of my family. Now, my morning fasting is 145, and about 115 at night before dinner. This is great, but I thought once you drop the carbs (10 or below/day) my sugar levels would be normal 80-100. How long does it take to get into the normal range without meds? I've only lost about 7 lbs, and have 60 more to go. Anyone off meds with normal levels? How long/how much did you lose first? The people on the Biggest Loser eating lots of carns "cure their diabetes." They exercise a lot more, but if I ate fruit/rice/subway etc. my sugar would be over 200. Hopefully as my weight gets closer to normal I will be able to eat some carbs with normal sugar levels. Your stories would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
