And guess what? My numbers weren't bad. I really haven't been eating good until last Saturday. I tested my BS and it was 272! I immediately started Atkins and I must say that my BS haven't been higher than 160. Now I know that is still high but it will come down. The encouraging news is that my numbers from my blood test were pretty good. My Doctor said that I should stay on my current metformin 500mg/twice daily. He also said to follow a low-carb diet as it is the only way to truly control my BS. All in all I couldn't be happier!

Re: Had my Doctor visit today
Your numbers will continue to come down - as will your A1C when you have it done next time.
My numbers started in the high 100's when I first started and now they are rarely above 115 in the morning and usually are around 65 - 90 in the afternoon (before dinner). I feel much better than I did in January when I started - last July when I was diagnosed with Type 2 my first A1C was 10.3 --- the last one I had done was 5.0 and I go in a couple weeks to see what it is (hopefully lower than it was the last time).
Keep up the great work - you're numbers will continue to decline as long as you eat properly, drink enough pure water and exercise.
Good luck to you!!Carole_____________________May Water 130oz daily
