  • Things are looking up

Well, it has been 5 weeks since my shoulder operation and I now can type again. FYI after the operation my sugar went sky high. 160 -200 and it was hard for me to control it with out insulin. I think I am now back on track and hope my counts come in lower at night.

I did have small cheats and I think that was primarily the cause of the sugar. Good news is I did not put on any weight during my episodes. It was tempting but I realize it was not to my advantage. I craved for pizza so my husband did accomadate me once. I felt so guilty but it taste good.

Today I am back on Atkins and with a passion. I am exactly the same weight I have been for 4 months. Now that I am in PT I think I can use their bike to get more exercise. We also can get back to some walking if the weather is good.

Bad news is that my Bischon Krissy died and went to Heaven this week and that kind of depressed me and needed something to relieve my stress. I made a sugarless cheese cake and drissled sugar free strawberry syrup over it. I did count the carbs and it came to 6 for 1/16 piece.

I hope everyone is well and I can back on track with everything. My drinking of water is getting better and I will try to keep up in October. Stay safe and happy. Audrey

    Hi Audrey --

Good for you getting back on plan with a vengence! You always do well with your water - you're a constant in the water challenge!

Sorry to hear about Krissy -- last year we lost our Molly and it was a very low point in our life - it's hard to loose a "family member" and even worse when you've had them so long.

Take care of yourself, keep up your exercise and hopefully we'll both start seeing the scale moving again!!
