ensive My blood sugar measured 121 at fasting. Hum, but this was after having a low the day before of 28. Hum, my monitor was over a year old the batteries had never been changed. Hum, I changed the batteries and I was still high. Hum, I bought a new monitor and I am back to 89.
Moral of the story faulty monitors can cause highs and lows in your blood sugar. If you have unusual changes on your equipment have your blood sugar check at a clinic or look around some pharmacies do BG tests. You may need a new monitor.

:joy My new monitor is working great. My before bed time was 91 and I was 90 am fasting; 89 1.5 hrs after breakfast. My old monitor not only wasn't working correctly it also registered morning highs that I was not having.

I should have know it happened last year with my monitor. I would wonder too because she said she had to find her monitor. It sounded like she had not used it for a while.
We need to date our monitors and change the batteries more ofter and keep in mind that they don't last long.
