    welcome to ADBB :wave

Congrats on your sucess so far in your struggle to regain your life and health. As you can see we have some very successful type two dieabetics here that have gotten totally off meds a nd are having normal BS readings too.

If you are doing a true Atkins you will be needed to stay in contact with your diabetic treatment team as those BS readings will continue to drop and you will need a med corrections so you don't get too low.

    Happy low carbing.

welcome do - your exercise routine sounds great. i'm working on overcoming an almond addiction too, even so, the nuts are sure better than the carbage I used to eat.

Good for you! Congrats on the great job you ar doing getting smaller and healthier working your Atkins plan.

Take your Atkins book with you if your doc didn't initially recommend Atkins for you as you will need to support your numbers with med facts too.

Surprisingly, when I recieved my diagnosis - the good Doctor said Atkins is the perfect way of eating to reduce blood sugar and loose weight. On follow up he interated this with - "If you're in ketosis you can't help but loose weight."

good for you. Congrats on the great health improvements you have gotten so far.

Those HDLs are the powerful blood vessel cleaners of the bad fats so you want to help them get higher. Exercise can do that as can eating lots of Omwega3 foods or oils like flax seed meal and nuts when you get to rung 3 of OWL

                        Happy low carbing.
