For some reason, today is hard on Atkins. I haven't cheated and I won't, but I want to and I haven't had to deal with that feeling for a couple of weeks. I'm drinking some hot water with a drop of stevia, it is comforting, but, darn it...just posting to keep my mind and will focused.

Usually when I'm having cravings for carbs I find that eating an allowed carb (even if it doesn't sound appetizing at first) quells it pretty well.
Usually, for me, that's a salad with some bacon and cheese.

Angel-- the cravings will come and go, but you know, the nice thing is that there are things you can have which will sate the cravings to a great extent, especially the longer you are on this Way of Eating!
Also, I know caffeine is an absolute No-No, but the next time you need something sweet or your eyes pop out of your head three feet and then pop back in Tex Avery style (which is messy and socially embarrassing), try the new Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper.

Im the same way...im just restarting induction yet again so my cravings are pretty much under control at the moment...but being a compulsive overeater Im sure my day will come...For me, a substitute only makes me crave more intensely. I've never been able to eat just a little of anything sweet or starchy. It's always whole hog for me.
