Hey guys and gals do you go through this?
Similar to when you eat sugar, you get a high, then you crash, and then cycle is repeated.
Well on a seperate issue I can get like that with my emotions and self esteem.
Feel really bad about myself and weight, Suddenly become extreme with diet and exercise thoughts, then the inevitable crash and depression because you can't live up to your extreme thoughts.....and the cycle repeats.
When I first started loosing weight, I levelled those emotions out. I chose the middle path and tried to what I could on Atkins. Tried to live moderately and it worked. Take one day at a time.
Extreme motivation and punishment kind of messes me up.
But being unemotional and sticking to a realistic plan works. Feeling positive and good about myself and the plan and my goal - works!
When I get into the 'dark thoughts' the hopeless cycle begins and I stuff up!
