Tara,
Sounds like you are addicted to carbs and the bad news is it is very difficult to break that addiction, but it can be done and you can do it during induction. One thing I noticed was there was cookies in the house with you. Don't do that to yourself. Get rid of all the junk so it can't call out to you from the kitchen.
Another thing that I have noticed, if you are trying to start induction wait until the week after TOM. TOM bring a whole lot of cravings with it and starting right after it gives you some time to make it through induction.
At 20 I would say now is the time to make healthy changes for the better. At 20 I was doing really silly diets and have paid the consequences by getting up to a little over 250 pounds. Also those little diets just got to the point they didn't work any more. Atkins works for me. It is the only thing I have been successfull trying since 1997. And today I have lost over 60 pounds since August. Make a commitment to at least make a change today for the better, and then another tommorrow and then another and another until you get to induction. Today say no more choclate, not at all, tommorrow start drinking water, the next day cut out the sodas, the next try a new vegetable, the next clean out all the junk food from your house and go shopping for induction friendly foods. Eat at home instead of going out and put that extra money back into your grocery money for more expensive yet very tasty items, like shrimp or steak. Find some low carb cooking shows on tv and start watching and getting ideas. Go shopping on a full stomach by the way, so you don't buy stuff due to cravings. Visit the meat market, and the produce section.
The first time I tried induction, I got induction flu so bad I thought I would die or kill someone and that was 2 days into it. I quit. Then saw my brother in law start Atkins and drop weight like crazy and a gentleman at church do the same. Did a search on the internet and found this site and saw others too had gone through it and come out okay and well into ketosis. I gave it a try again and said 2 weeks and then reevaluate. I lost 12 pounds and felt great. But the first few days are the hardest. Come here often and look at those before, during and after pics. You will be posting pictures before you know it to. Just get started and give it those full, cheat free first 2 weeks. It does get so much easier.
Best wishes to you.
