PLEDGING FLIGHTS *** A Stair Climb Challenge

    You have inspired me. Two years ago I fell down a flight of stairs and broke both wrists so I have avoided stairs ever since. Today I was telling my husband that I want to start walking tomorrow. Then I read this. I live a few blocks from a community college with a parking deck. I am going to commit to walking there and then doing the flights every day. I can do this. So I have decided since I have such a love for Scotland and have seen Ben Nevis recently; that is my goal. In six weeks I will climb Ben Nevis. Thank you for this challange.

      cool beans!!! not about the broken wrists ....ouch... but about joining us. we're always happy to have another climber join our group and i'm always happy to add another challenger to the trusty spreadsheet. some of us are TOTALLY ADDICTED to this challenge.

          Jimmie...I'm wondering if there's any steak left for Susan! She needs something warming up here, in her new bikini!!!

          Ok... we're off again... to next base camp! Cool! I'm going slower these days... stuck working too much and darn it... working means sitting means fattening!

            yep - it's a bit chilly ( although lookers I hope are feeling hot like chillie) posing in my swimsuit. (see album) I'm in the market for the bikini, now!

            Doin Miles, Flights, & Kid Ketchin'...
            2 Ab Chal's; 6WEC#27 slug-Free; & more; 50# LOST in'06-
            but regained ~20# in '07 in less than 3 weeks! And again early '08 ...Was in HEAVEN -got to 150, for awhile, then got too busy, and gave in too much... and... OK holding pattern "keep it together..."

            .................OMG how did I fail AGAIN

                    carole [imagood1] likes to post daily.
                    myjack won't tell anything till he finishes something and then it's usually me telling the group that he finished something. he's my dh so i pretty much keep track of things for him.
                    i post my progress sometimes but mostly just post when i've finished something however, as i am climbing everest with booniestomper and sallyseachange, i'm checking in a bit more regularly.

                    it's entirely up to you how you want to post. the main thing is jut to let us know when you have finished something so it can be 'checked off' on the master spreadsheet.

                      In that case I'll go ahead and post where I'm at so far. I agreed starting Friday I would climb 14 flights a day working towards climbing Ben Nevis.

                      Friday I climbed 15 flights.
                      Saturday I climbed 31 flights (was feeling bad so climbed instead of eating)
                      Sunday I have climbed 13 so far but will climb at least two more before bed.

                      Considering that I want to up my flights per day to 15. If I continue climbing more I will go up again. I was one of those who only climbed stairs once or twice a day. Two flights tops. I guess I was more capable than I thought I was.

                        i'm glad to see you active with the flights! 31 in a day is awesome for a new challenger! when i first started, it took me days to get to get that many. lol

                        one cool thing about posting often is that you get some congrats and encouragement passed your way more often. that's always a good thing.

                          i've finished Petronas Twin Towers.


                          i still remember the first time i climbed the towers and was able to see the special on the National Geographic channel. [i think that's what it was ] it was cool to see how the structures were put up while i was in the midst of climbing.
                          i've got one more in this set to get another award. but it will have to wait while i trek up to the next base camp on everest.

                            380 of 388 flights....just couldn't get those extra 8 flights in today!!! Tomorrow I'll get them done and am adding TVLY TV Mast -- 275 more flights and I'll have the towers and masts done!!!! yea

                                Hope you don't mind, a small shopping detour (but of course, there are Malls on the mountains...) before heading towards next base camp.

                                Two essential items:
