    I am not joining this challenge. I cannot exercise to a video, I do not have coordination...BUT I think you all are nuts! Completely NUTS...and I am so proud of you and I love to come and see who has joined up! I think you are a very motivated group, GOING SOME WHERE WITH ALL YOUR EFFORTS...

        LOL! Me either sister! You should see me try to do a grapevine! My sister and I tried to do them together, and she nearly passed out laughing watching me bump into myself... The bellydancing one is much better though, more giration than exploration all over your living room I'm hoping the WATP videos are much the same when they arrive.

        You really are a hoot!

          Welcome, qbu! You get the prize for highest commitment so far. One per day -- way to go!! Between walking and videos, I hope to join you in doing something every day.

          Jess, believe me, I'm with you. Am SOOO uncoordinated. I only pick videos that are clutz proof.

          CathyJo (is that what you like to be called?), I love the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds videos. They are VERY simple, easy steps. I think you'll like them a lot. Am looking forward to hearing what you think...

                    Okay, ... I'm going another month. But, I'm only pledging 11 videos... because I want to put miles on the gazelle too. I figure I'll alternate between the two. One more day in October challenge and then on to November!

                      Welcome Lj and Rachel! So glad you're joining us!

                      Lj, glad you're discovering the exercise challenges. I think you'll find they give you the extra boost of motivation that keeps you going. It's fun to root each other on.

                        I'd like to join too. But I'm a little lost on how you count the video's.

                        I do my WATP video 10 times a day, every day for 1/2 mile at a time walking a total of 5 miles a day.
                        So would I sign up to do.....300 videos? I mean its the same one over and over....

                        But you can count me in for 300 times in November doing my WATP if thats how you count it
                        (just please let me know. )

                          Welcome and wow, Lady Hawke, what a great commitment to exercise you have! Hmmm... that's a tough question. I think I'd commit to how many completed videos (segments) you do a day. Therefore, if you're doing a one mile WATP video in 1/2 mile segments, then I'd probably count two workouts as one video. Or, if you're doing a 2 mile video, I think I'd count 4 workouts as one video.... either way, you're doing a heck of a lot!

                          The point is simply to keep us accountable, not a "who can do the most" challenge. So, count them anyway you like (whatever will mean the most to YOU), and just let me know!

                          I'm curious, do you notice more of an impact breaking them down into bite sized pieces rather than doing them all at once? I'd think what you're doing must be great for the metabolism...

                            wow I think I'm more confused then I was before.
                            I have the WATP video for a 2 mile work out - I've never done the whole thing.
                            I do a 1/2 mile at a time, the first part of the tape, because I can handle that without pain. In a day I repeat it 10 times so that I walk a total of 5 miles for the day.
                            I do it a little at a time like this because of my back - I did a mile to this tape at the begining of the year and strained my back, couldn't move very well for the next couple of days and then petered out and didn't pick the tape up again until the end of August when I started slowly doing 1/2 mile a day. As I was more and more sure that I could do 1/2 mile through out the day without hurting myself - I worked up to my 5 mile total.
                            2big mentioned the metabolism - what a nice bonus!
                            I think I'll could it as 300 for the month since thats how many times I'll be turning on the VCR.
                            Would that be ok?

                              Sorry, LadyHawke. Didn't mean to make matters worse!

                              Absolutely, 300 it is! Wow, that's awesome. I have enough trouble motivating myself to turn on the VCR (or get myself out the front door) once a day, and you do it 10 times a day. You should get credit for every one of those putton pushes!

                              And hey, you just WAY upped our overall total, to 452! Good for US! LOL
