Everyone has good days and everyone has tough days.....when you guys post your mileage today I'd be interested in knowing what helps you through a tough day. What inspires you to get up an exercise? What brings that special smile to your face and lights the fire to keep you moving towards goal?

Have a beautiful, beautiful day ladies! I'll be back tonight to update!

        Sat, 11/11: 15.6 mile run.

when you guys post your mileage today I'd be interested in knowing what helps you through a tough day. What inspires you to get up an exercise? What brings that special smile to your face and lights the fire to keep you moving towards goal?

Exercise is what gets me through tough days. Most days, I run in the mornings before work and that sets the tone for the day. I go to a very stressful multi-tasking job in an upbeat, positive frame of mind. The stress of the job doesn't seem to be as bad when I have had a good run beforehand.

On Saturdays, I have my long sustained distance runs and they really keep me in the groove. I am gradually moving toward achieving my 2006 goal of running 1,500 miles and its the Saturday runs that really keep the goal alive. I love being outdoors early in the morning when its so quiet and peaceful. I love it! Running is truly my prozac.

I missed your question, what gets me up and moving and getting it done is how amazing I feel afterwards. I started today off feeling pretty down, and I got out of the house and in to the cool morning air...there was only one other person out in our neighbrohood...It was delightful! I came home cold on the outside and hot on the inside, and refreshed! It makes me feel very strong the rest of the day!

I'm ashamed. I have been slacking off, and I am way behind. But I'm trying to make up for it.

4.5 miles today. That makes 18.5/60.
