Re: March Abs Challenge - Sign up and Report Thread

Hi Baarb, a while ago my personal trainer showed me this killer ab workout. The below picture is a close example. I used to do it with or without the weight ball and the purpose is to turn far enough sideways and tap the ground. To increase intensity you lift bended legs higher and tilt your upper body further back until you form a V . It really gives a great burn on lower and upper abs as well as obliques. Just try to tap once on each side as FAST as you can. I used to do them until failure, take a quick break, and do it again.

    Good luck!
    Sam

If they hurt just standing there or after 5 or so, then a rest day is probably a good idea.

My abs don't seem to hurt at all anymore - I need to make it harder, but just adding numbers doesn't seem very effective. Raising my knees helps, but I'd really like to do them on an incline, but don't have access to one - any suggestions?

Hi everyone! I pledge 150 a day, a total of 4650 for March. The monthly numbers are so scary.

      Good luck

One day at at time, Sam. Then it's not so bad, eh?

I like that particular ab routine. It's good for your lower back, too. Basically, a good core workout.

Wow, congrats! That's an amazing achievement. It seems like everyone is different, some need the rest, some don't. I think since I'm just starting out I'll need that recovery day. Thanks for all the responses on the subject guys!
