Ohhh -- so sorry! I didn't mean that 4.5 was good, thus anything else would be bad! I was just giving my early pace. But come to think of it, it was probably more like 4.2 or 4.3 when I started. My fast walk pace is 4.0 usually. But everyone is different, so do whatever feels good for you.
Anyway, the point is... you don't have to go fast at all. Just slowly speed up the treadmill until you have to move your feet a little faster to keep up.
Apple's 3.0 walk pace and 4.0 jog pace is probably a better goal to shoot for starting out!
Apple, I really have liked my Nike Airs. They feel so cushioney!
