finally, good to see another step counter! welcome to the challenge!
i've said this elsewhere but it's suppose to rain all week so i don't know if i'll make much progress this week but i'll up my count from last week and shoot for 17,356 steps.

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry to hear it will be rainy all week there.....we could use the rain though - we are about -16" in rain this year and it is too hot. You know it is hot when you can't even lay on a raft in the pool comfortably.
I can't find my good pedometer and the other one is junk. I walked all over the house straightening up and it showed NO steps. So, I have to get out and get a new one today.

it took me weeks to get my pedometer and i've only been able to use it when i am actually walking. it don't count so good when just doing household tasks. is the stride on your junk one set right? or did you simply just wear it out and it truely is junk?

Jimmie - I believe the stride was correct and it was just a piece of junk. I went to Walgreens (close to home) and bought a cheap one. Ok, that was the first clue..........cheap. I put it on in the car, did some other stuff - walked a good bit here and there - got home and it said I had walked 6 steps. Now that is too funny - I told my mom about it and she said "I would have put it on the floor and stomped it".
Well, I took that one back - went to Walmart, walked a ton (my back was letting me know). I didn't get the new pedometer on until about 7pm - it is 10:30pm and I have 63 steps. BUT I have been sitting here at the computer doing work for my candle business and schooling our son.
Hopefully tomorrow will be MUCH better - but we all have summer colds and feel like crud - we may not even get out of bed LOL
I did however have 87.6 oz of water -- woooooo hooooo !!

Thanks for the welcome Brady - you are right it is very hot here in GA -- I grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana so I know about the temps in the Arklatex too.
I did better today with steps but NOT nearly as good as you all -- I got in 700 steps. I need to get out of the house and do some walking but my back is not fond of that.
I will do more tomorrow -- I am just blessed to have finally found that Atkins is the only things for me.
