        Hello everyone!

        It's the 5th today so it would good to have your baseline results soon so we can use the rest of the month to improve on them

        I was going to list all our results but I thought that might make it seem a bit competitive, so here is a list of us all and the tests I have you down for. If I have missed you or got the tests wrong, please let me know! I've put whether your results are in or not too - as far as I have.

        The tests:
        1) Step test
        2) Squats test
        3) Sit ups
        4) Pushups
        5) Run/walk test

        The Challengers:
        Adena - 5 - results on the way
        Biogeek - 1,2,3,4,5 - results not yet in
        Debi_2007 - 1,2 - results not yet in
        *Emma* - 3,4 - results in
        FatActressinLA - 1,2,3,4,5 (I think) - results not yet in
        Grniidgrl - 1,4,5 - results in
        hrgillespie - 1,2,3,4 - results in
        lc_angel_08 1,2,4 - results in
        Looseshoes - 2,3,4,5, - results in
        Purple Rain - 1,2,3,4,5 - results in
        Me 1,2,3,4,5 - results in

        Any mistakes let me know!

          I decided that I would retest myself every two weeks and see if there are any changes even though it's a monthly thing I just figured I should see some small changes in a two week period and it would help keep me motivated ......


          Here's my first results:

          Baseline done 10/24/07
          The Step Test - 96 (Good)
          The Squat Test - 18 (below Average)
          The Situp Test - 35 (excellent)
          The Pushup Test - 7 (below average)

          Retest 11/7/07
          The Step Test - 94
          The Squat Test - 21
          The Situp Test - 34
          The Pushup Test - 10


          no real change in the sit ups and heart rate for the step one but I increased my squats by 3 and my push ups by 3 which I feel really good about ........ I didn't check to see if it would move me into a different level results wise I will wait for the month to be up to check that but I was happy to see some change especially in the push ups one as I am working hard to increase my arm strength.

              I have been making some progress also I can do more pushups then when I started and more squats. I'm not sure on the step test that was my hardest test. I entered both a pushup and a squat challange this month might as well get all the help I can lol.

                Thanks for the update and well done . I think entering challenges is a great idea for trying to improve in your fitness tests. I need to get moving on the exercise front.

                      Well done on the improvements

                      Like Emma, I'm not testing until the end of the month - I haven't worked very hard this month so expecting to stay the same.

                      I wondered aboout posting my exercise plans in here at the start of the week to keep me accountable - anyone is welcome to do the same

                            Hey everyone,

                            A little update to say, thanks to techno wonder woman Emma we now have some lovely new ribbons to award for this challenge.

                            Ribbons are for people who improve to a certain extent over the month. So, for example, if you are following one of the standard 5 tests and go up a level by one of the charts we have been using then you win a ribbon.

                            If you improve in more than one test, you get an even better award. Basically, the number of mini stopwatches on the ribbon - that's the number of tests someone has improved in that month.

                            OR if you are working to your own test and have a stated goal at the beginning of that month that you reach by the end - you also win an award.

                            I really hope we get some improvements! I can't wait to hand these out!

                              OK here are my resutls .............


                              Starting numbers:
                              The Step Test - 96 (Good)
                              The Squat Test - 18 (below Average)

                              Final Numbers (Improvement Over the month)
                              The Step Test - 94 (Good)
                              The Squat Test - 54 (Excellent) Big Big Change!!!!!
                              The Situp Test - 41 (excellent)
                              The Pushup Test - 15 (average) I doubled my numbers!

                              Yeah!!!!!! I am excited about my increases it shows the challenges I am doing are really paying off. I look forward to improveing even more during December!!!!!!
