  • Baby Steps Week 1 Feb 1st to 7th

    Good Day Hopefully everyone is getting in their exercise.

    Let me know how you did today. I am under the weather and will start my 12 on Monday Sorry guys. I have frostbite from working for over 6 hours outside in -40 and now I feel very sick. I am hoping for a speedy recovery. Good news is I got a huge workout when I was working bending 2 by 4 stiff train hoses and walking a ton.

    Take care all. If any of you want to start on Monday I would be happy with that.

      I got it done. I felt winded and tired like I am supposed to. It;s all good. I will probably be sore later. ACK tomorrow is **** day. It's all good though.

        So Far so good for me..though the HIIT part is difficult right now with no treadmill and the weather not cooperating.

        Good news is i'm getting a new treadmill for the house that's supposed to arrive tomorrow...though we're also getting a snow storm that might make it hard to pick up from teh store! i'll have to replace my treadmill workout with shovelling for the day

        Here's the treadmill I ordered, was the best one I could afford (i had to make sure it had a wide enough track..seems to be the problem with cheap ones_...it's neat actually it has 'arms' on it for cross country skiing type workouts. There weren't any reviews on the Canadian site, but the US one had several and they were all really good, 5 star ratings. The only downside is it's almost $200 cheaper on the US site..man i hate that!

          Ya I know what you mean. I hate looking for stuff and it being cheaper and then not being able to get that one LOL. You will do fine with the one you are getting. When you are shovelling make it into a HIIT session if possible. Shovel hard for 30 seconds then back off for 1.5 minutes shovel hard for 30 seconds then keep going till you get to 20 minutes.

          It's HIIT again for me today. Last time was hard. I did get my Jump squats with the pushups done and my But is sore today YAY!!

          I will be doing my workout here shortly.

            I got in my second session of HIIT. I ended up getting a side stitch so had to really slow down for the last 5 minutes. I did the Bulk of the intense part but, darn I am so out of shape. I know it will come back quickly.

            I ahve been doing awesome eating wise. My caloric intake is good along with my protein and carbs. I feel like I am in Ketosis again for the first time in a long time. Something about the exercsie I absoulutely need it or my body just doesn't get there. I feel very in control of myself and I feel really strong about Forcing myself to exercise. I know before long I will really be pushing it.

            I am doing my challenge with a girlfriend here so we are going to modivate eachother to do it each and every day. I am going over to her place tonight to go over some of the exercises with her. It'll be awesome. I ahve longed to ahve someone to push me that I can actually physically touch. She has lost 80 LBS as well so I know by JUNE we are both going to look HAWT.

            I am going to start writing some of my thoughts down on paper. My storie along with my pictures would be very modivating to a lot of people. I long to help others as well as help my own situation. I would like to stay home with my kids more and if I can write something that can help even one person then I know I can do anything.

            Well this challenge has really put everything in perspective and I am very focused on here and now. Looking forwards to watching everyone shrink. Seems like I have lost most of my Joiners. I dunno what happened. Hopefully they will lurk in here soon. I want everyone to feel how I am feeling right now. It's funny how something like this can make you want to eat well and not want to give in. I AM SO IN CONTROL.

              Hello Everyone. DOn't even know if anyone is out there. I am doing well. I ended up missing yesterday cause of obligations to other things, but, I was back at it today. I ahve been going to the bathroom a ton which is SOOO GOOD. I am losing weight I can feel it. My eating is very good and I am feeling pretty well. I feel very strong body wise. Emotionally not as good but, I guess that's what you get when you are stressed to the max.

              Hopefully everyone is getting their exercise in.

                hey you.....

                as you know...i do high intensity stuff all the time. i do go to a gym but the stuff i do is simple and can be done at home....or even on a football field or soccer field. my workouts involve a lot of running....or if thats too much people can just walk. my cardio consists of shuttle runs, sprints, jogging around the track. then the standards: pushups, situps, squats. you can even bring weights, like 3,5, 8 or even 10lb dumbbells to the practice field. you have to superset a cardio movement with a calesthenic movement.....it all works very well for me. back in my journal chat i think i mentioned a deck of cards routine that i used to do!!

                  just was at the gym.....for only 45 minutes. i started my workout at 8:25am and finished it at 9:10am. my first 5 sets were 3 minutes on the bike then immediately followed by 15 pushups....and then 8 pullups (weighted). then i did 5 more sets....same stuff but lowered my time on the bike to 2 minutes. so in total, if everything is added up......i did 25 minutes on the bike, 150 pushups and 80 pullups

                    I am doing well I am down a few pounds already this week from my exercise and my measurements are already going down. DOING the HIIT traing properly really is kicking my BUT!!!

                    I am sore today time for some Squats and such today EEEK

                    Glad you are doing well there CG it's all worht it in the end no matter how you get there.
