  • April Jump Rope and Hula Hoop Challenge (Recapture your youth!)

    Bored of the gym - all that mature serious slogging away on the treadmill? Want to go back to those carefree days of childhood when exercise was just like playing?

    Want an exercise you can even do inside if you don't mind breaking lamps and family members laughing at you?

    Please note you don't have to do both if you don't want to!

    NB skipping can be tough on the knees, especially if you still have a lot of weight to lose, so please be careful to wear good equality trainers to mimise impact, try a softer surface and stop if it hurts!

    NB Hula hooping can be tough on your dignity. Please only attempt it with a silly grin on your face.

    How to sign up:
    1) Copy and paste your name onto the list in the post below this one
    2) State your MONTHLY jump rope minutes goal like this JR 5/20 IF DOING
    4) State your MONTHLY hula-hooping minutes goal as HH 5/20 IF DOING
    3) Report as often as you like by updating the ENTIRE list

                          Thanks for the congrats. I couldn't manage 10 seconds right now (got a cough) but hopefully will again soon.

                          How can you hula for so long? I get bored and also, tbh, lack skill...

                            Not to get bored, I either put on some music, read a book or watch a movie while hulaing (does this word exist? ).
