I've really upped my excercise in the last few weeks and am almost at my first award.

2big- just a small point. I play a lot of cricket in the summer months. Not the most energetic of sports but apparently 7 hours worth of cricket is worth approx 1,500 points. It seems a little ridiculous to me as I am sure I use up more energy running 2 miles than I do when I play a game of cricket. Yet the points difference is astronomical!

    run 2 miles - 250 (ish)
    7 hours of cricket - 1500

    :confused

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

richt you are forgettignthe timedifferentcial too your body is a live and moving for those 7 hours too so you get to take that into the 7hours too. see running 2 miles plus being alive for 7 hours. if you look at fit day cricket givesyou 5 cals/min and running 7 min miles gives you 15 cals/min
do running 2 miles in 14 min would give your 206 cals and 14 min of cricket would be 60 cals, but you said you did 7 full hours of cricket so you get 1901 cals burned.

the points are awarded for 7 hrs of exercise not the actual amount of time you moved on the cricket field during that time.remeember walking at 1 mile an hour for over an hour counts in the aerobic training schedules as you get credit for the endurnace effects continued slow long workouts get.

if you did a chart of your day you would get 7hrs of cricket and 17 hrs of other activities like sleep eating etc. your jogging day would be14 min jogging and 23:46 hours of other stuff. it is wholely possible that for the whole day you burned more cals in your jogging day total then in your cricket day total. But the challenge is about time spent exercising and the effort you apply to that exercise at least for the ones I do.
