August Mileage Challenge - sign up and reporting

    Today I was biking and I wanted to do some more km, but when I looked at the screen (my bike shows you your cardiac rithm) i noticed 164!!!!!! I don't know why. Normaly I am somwhere between 100-120 and I know my maximum should be around 130. When I saw 164 I was so scared, that I imediately stopped the exercise. And it's strange, because I didn't feel tired or bad.
    I don't understand.

                  I'd love to be apart of this challange. This is only day 4 for me on Atkins but I started exercising at the same time. I'll put in for 20 walking miles this month.

                    Vek---It have been helpful for you to gradually taper off rather than stopping altogether. According to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (Canada) and the American Heart Association recommend the following target heart rate zones. For your age, you still did not exceed their recommendation for the average maximum. Don't let that bother you.

                    More importantly, if you are still concerned, let your physician know about it. They may be able to offer suggestions.

                        Thank you, Minofex. I was so scared! Because I calculated this from Dr. Atkin's book and there it was a formula age X weigh and my result was :" i must exercise between 113-130 beats/minute". And when I saw 164 (I have never seen it before) I was looking like a cartoon with the eyeballs outside. and I stopped imediately! But I wasn't tired at all! I just don't get it. Maybe my bike needs new batteries?!
