  • October exercise dvd & "on Demand" channel Challenge

    October is choc full of candy and goodies remember that!

    I'm really determined to keep my focus by continuing this challenge and I hope to have more join in the fun.

    You don't have to leave the house to get a good work out in! I know people have busy schedules and or cannot afford pricey gym memberships.I have seen quite a few people who have exercise DVD's and "on Demand" exercise cable channels. Tae Bo, Walk Away the Pounds, Turbo Jam, Donna Richardson are just to name a few but I'm wondering how many people are putting them to good use?? This is a month long challenge for you to dust those puppies off and use em! You paid good money for them so you might as well enjoy the benefits of ownership right??
    Everyone is welcome to join in at anytime.

    Feel free to post the following:

    -How many times a week do you pledge to exercise and with which workout?
    -Starting weight or measurements
    -Inches or pounds you desire to lose as a result of this challenge
    -This month I plan to do weekly weigh-ins on Fridays (feel free to continue to weigh on whatever day your schedule has been)

    Post your workouts daily in this thread and give a short review; someone might be interested in picking up your workout based on your review.

    If you skip a workout that you committed to, be honest so we can encourage you to get back on track...

    I'm committing to 5 days of exercise for the month of October. (hiding under a chair)
    I have some new exercise stuff and I need to dust off my oldie but goodies as well.

      aaack!! I keep forgetting to measure myself but my starting weight is 161.5 and in spite of all my strength training I'm determined to get that scale moving this month.
      I'm stretching it but I would just love to drop 10 pounds this month.

        Okay, Im gonna try this again 4 days a week at least... and I promise ill get pictures and measurements tomorrow! I am at work now and don't have them with me lol... I failed to do that last time lol .

          Hey Dez! I'm in for this one as well. I pledge at least 4 days a week of my taebo or yoga. Possibly throw in a walk here and there since it's finally cooling down. I want to wait though until next friday to weigh since I've been pretty bad lately when it comes to sticking to this woe!!!

            Ok, didn't follow through last month, but I have started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred for beginners yesterday and it kicked my butt. I am trying to get through this phase, but I am not in good shape yet, need a lot of encouragement!

            I pledge to do at least 4 days a week and weigh in on Friday's.

              I'm so excited to see more folks join this challenge!

              Dang it! I almost forgot about my Jillian Michaels stuff! aaack! that woman puts a beating on me something good. I guess I'll add her in the mix too. Pray for me folks. Let's really focus on sticking with the plan this month. I know I had a few bad weeks last month but this month I'm really determined to keep with my schedule. I have some really cute stuff I'm trying to be able to wear this winter

                I'm already on shaky ground with this.
                I was so beat down from my Tae Bo Mission Three Rock Solid Abs work out 9-30- I took a rest day 10-1
                10-2 I came back with a 2 mile WATP and it liked to killed me. I'm in my skinny jeans today and I feel so adorable!
                I'm thinking I'm going to do something Jillian Michaels this evening. I have her Frontside Backside set and some other stuff so we'll see how that goes.

                    So far this october ive worked out to a video twice lol... but the week isn't over yet! lol... I did Zumba the latin dance class and a jump roping dvd in the same day kicked my ***... i suck at jump roping but am getting better... and the latin dance thing i felt like a mcfatty but as long as I shake it thats what counts! haha

                        I'm in shock with pain (in a good way I assure you) I just did my Jillian Michaels "front side" DVD That woman is tough! I got chicken on Friday and didn't do her- I did another WATP 1 mile DVD. Tomorrow I plan to do Jillian's "back side" DVD.

                          I am so loving the variety in your DVD workouts! That has got to be grounds for some serious shrinking to take place. Great job to you sweetie-keep it up!

                            okay so I did turbo jam today one of my favorites and yesterday I did zumba and also I forget which day... (don't have my exercise book in front of me) I did jump roping dvd

                              Okay so I definitely didn't want to workout yesterday but I am like I HAVE to... once I get going it feels good... so I made myself lol and felt great during and afterwards.. I did the 20 minute turbo jam workout again.... I am going to do a different video tonight or a different part of turbo jam to mix things up and get more of a workout. I love turbo jam though... the music ... the punching... the kicking... the motivation lol okay ill stop now but i really do love it!
