    Summer's almost here!!! Are we ready to strut our stuff in our shorts and bikinis or do we still need some work on those abs?

    Well, this is the place to get it! This challenge is open to everyone on the board.

    Add your name to the list in alphabetical order and tell us how many exercises you pledge to do this month. Then each day that you report in, just copy the last post in the thread, put in how many you've done and post it. It's that easy!

    Good luck to everyone who joins.

        Well, I figured out the other day that I can't do 1 single (proper) push-up. But I can still do crunches! I'm in.

          Welcome, Julie! I'm glad you joined!

          Don't worry about not being able to do a 'proper' situp because they give me problems too. I can do them but I have a bladder problem that is made worse by them. So I do straight crunches and side to side crunches both on a stability ball and on the floor, plus I do leg lifts and knee-ins for the lower abs. So just do what you can because it all works and that's what counts.

                I am reeeaally liking this site. This will motivate me to do more. I am committed to do 2500 various ab exercises this month.

                  Shelly - the slash is for your updates from what I understand. So like if you pledge 2500 reps of various exercises for the month and you did 100 today, you would write in: 100/2500 once you do them. And I think as you go on, say you do 100 more, then it would be 200/2500 when you update.

                  (older members - correct me if I'm wrong!)

                          I'm IN!!! Joining this challenge will ensure I fold the laundry that is currently burying my ab machine. Oops! When I got it from a friend, we had to get her laundry off of it too!! I'm sensing a trend...

                            Welcome jennashaped, Shelly, Grniidgrl, and Everlosing!

                            Jenna, you can do any type of abs exercise you want to. I mix it up with the stability ball, abs cruncher machine and floor exercises that include knee-ins and leg lifts.

                            And you were right in your description of the way the numbers work. The number to the left is a running total of what you have done so far, and the number to the right of the slash is what your goal is. Thank you are explaining it to Shelly!

                            Everlosing, your ab machine sounds like my stationary bike! I'm glad you're clearing it off.
