  • June Stability Ball Exercise Challenge... sign up and reporting thread

    If you're looking for a challenge that will work on your core and help you with stability and strength, this is for you!!

    Incorporating the stability ball into your usual routine will challenge your body in new ways and break up the monotony of exercises that have gone a bit stale.

    Need some ideas about which exercises to use with a stability ball? YouTube has all kinds of videos!

    Exercises that count in this challenge include, but are NOT limited to, the following:

    lying hamstring curls
    tricep extensions
    reverse crunches
    lying leg press
    push ups
    jackknife
    stretching
    slow swim
    side plank
    seated leg extension
    bridge ball squats
    rows
    stability ball exercise tapes/DVD's



    Basically, any exercise that you do using your stability ball will count!



    NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE WAY THE TALLY IS DONE!!!!
    YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR MINUTES. I
    WILL NOT BE TRACKING OR ADDING UP ANYBODYS MINUTES BUT MINE. I WILL HOWEVER HAND OUT AWARDS WHEN THE TIME COMES.

      I guess I'll join too. Now that I have my own stability ball, it would be a shame not to use it, right?

      400 minutes for me. I'm moving and I won't have access to a gym the whole summer, so I'll increase my "non-gym" exercises.

            g, my minutes are not going. we've been so busy with packing and doctors and house paperwork to do that i just have not made time for other things.

              nothing but stretching but at least i used the ball and got some minutes done.

                    Well so much for posting more often .......... Jo I have no Idea what I did differently in the two notes to you unless I posted the wrong numbers or looked at the wrong page in my notebook .......... straighten me out because I probably did something with only half my brain involved

                    Here's my minutes so far from the last post and don't cringe I haven't done much as my parents were here and I always feel funny doing anything in front of people ........ I have some catching up to do.

                      I'm behind with my posts here again. Let's see...

                      June 3: 15 minutes
                      June 4: nothing... my parents were visiting (Heidi, I have the same problem)
                      June 5: nothing... same reason
                      June 6: nothing... I traveled to Munich
                      June 7: nothing... too lazy to inflate my stability ball
                      June 8: finally inflated the stability ball and did 20 minutes before my roommate woke up
                      June 9: same as on June 8 -- 20 minutes

                      Total....... 90/400.

                      Looks like I'm not behind only with my posts, but also with my exercise...
