        I did these exercises today with a one pound weight in each hand. Boy am I out of shape. I felt every movement throughout each of the three sets of twelve I did. As I get more fit I will increase the weights. Definitely looking forward to completing this challenge and maybe even continuing the upper body workouts.

          Well, I tried this out today to get a feel for what weights I'll be using for each exercise. I used a 25 lb weight for the bent over rows, a 20 lb weight for the French press, 2*20 lb weights for the curls, 2*15 lb for lateral raises, 2*20 lb for chest and overhead presses, and one 20 lb weight for the skull crushers. I think in the future I will probably use less weight for the lateral raise to get more sets and reps in. I biked 2 miles on the stationary, and did 15 mins of rowing on mid resistance. It was a great workout, but my arms were like Jello when I was done.

            Hmmm...this looks interesting. I'm not too sure I want to post before photos of my bare flabby arms tho...maybe if I post bare-chested ones, no one will notice my arms? Seriously, I've lost 4.5" on each arm since starting & am afraid of winding up with chicken wings (loose skin)...so I'm in

              Julie, I think that bare-chested photo would deter definitely. Don't feel bad, we are all in the same boat.

              By the way, your pic shows great progress..wow.

                  So...are we supposed to post in here daily that we did our workouts and what they were, like how many sets how many reps of each with what weight dumbbell?

                  OR

                  Are we just supposed to say we have committed to doing it and then post before and after pictures at the end of a month?

                        Yup! Let's get a list of names working and I vote to just write the number of the work out you have completed. If you are going 3 a week then there should be 3 posts in here a week that you did 1/3 or 2/3 or 3/3.

                        I think it might get a tad messy if we all post every exercise, the reps, the sets, and the weights, but... if you want to, please do! Someone might find inspiration in seeing what others are accomplishing!

                        Reminder:
                        Do 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps of the following 3 days a week:
                        Bent Over Row

                        Bicep Curl
                        French Press
                        Lateral Raise
                        Dumbbell (overhead) Press


                        Open to any thoughts.....

                            Ok, hope I'm understanding this correctly.

                            I plan on doing weights 4 times a week...3 sets of each exercise with 10-12 reps. Done my workout for today.
