  • All Night Walk for Cancer

    Hi Everyone!

    In a couple of weeks, I will be participating in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Essentially, with a team of 8 other people, I will be walking all night long.

    I'm concerned about what snacks I should be bringing with me that night to keep my energy up. Protein heavy snacks?

    Congratulations for doing the relay. That's really awesome. I would think that if you're going to be up all night, you might want to try and spread out your veggies too. Maybe some celery sticks, dill pickles, etc. Eating fats will keep you full. Maybe cheese (staying within the daily allowance). Some protein would be good too. I would think that you'll want to really keep hydrated, so lots of water.

      Hi, I did the relay for life here in Alberta a few weeks ago, I brought the following snacks with me
      String cheese
      Peanuts ( I know not on Induction but I needed something salty)
      Shredded chicken in a ziploc
      Cream cheese with celery for dipping

      Be advised there are snack all night long, not sure if it's the same menu but they served a great won ton soup, I drank the broth and bypassed the won tons. You think you'll be snacking a lot but you won't I wasn't hungrey once it got past midnight and who likes to eat at 4am, not me!!
      Have a blast!!

        I heard they also serve breakfast the next morning - any Atkins friendly foods there?

          I had the sausages and bacon and skipped the pancakes, my advice? Get in line early for breakfast we had to wait FOREVER!!!!
