  • Ok so I'm trying-yet again...

At lunch today i went to the gym and i did the eliptical(cross trainer) for a full 30 min. I know most wouldnt get so excited about 30 minutes of it, but 1. i never go to workout ill have a membership but not go, no motivation at all
    2. when i have gone ive only been able to do 10 min and then stoped, but today i pushed myself to 30,
Now, if i could just stay focused and motivated to go everyday id be doing great.... jsut wanted to share...lol

Well I'll be excited for your 30 minutes on the elliptical because I've been there done that! :icondance

When I first started working out, I could barely do a minute on it - my legs would feel like jello. But I steadily increased that time and now my max is 45 minutes. And I could go longer, but my dang feet start hurting! :sadblinky I'm going back to wearing my cheap Payless tennis shoes. I bought a pair of Addidas cross trainers and they hurt my arches, so then I bought a pair of New Balance cross trainers and they just make my whole feetsies hurt after a short time. :raving

I love working out on the elliptical, and I try different courses to target different muscle groups, but mostly my butt and legs. :yes

Now just stay motivated and think about all of that NASTY FAT you're just burning up while plugging away on the elliptical. :nod

            You can do it!! :hug

I'd be excited about thirty minutes! Good for you. Keep up your exercise and you'll really see your body start to morph and THAT will motivate you to stick to this wol!

I used to watch the strides, but once I got my heart rate monitor, my strides went way down to stay in my optimal fat burning range, and I'm able to go longer and not be dead when I'm finished.

Your gym may have heart rate monitors you can borrow, but if not, you might want to get one to get the most from your workout. :yes
