    I just want to say that I walked for not very long on my treadmill once barefoot (because I was too lazy to put on my shoes) and I'd never do it again. The blisters I got were quite painful. I wouldn't even dare think of running on it barefoot. But maybe I've just got wussy skin on my feet. Heh

      Re: Too fat to run?

      I AM going to disagree that a person can run at any weight. No offense to anyone, but that's just NOT true. You have to have a certain level of fitness, proper form, and even then it's a waiting game...or rather, a weighting game.

      Like Yoly, I couldn't start running until I was about 190.

      Please don't rush a good thing by hurting yourself too early.

      I know you're going to be running in no time. But before we learn to run, we have to walk.

      Also, aside from weight, form is extremely important.

      When you walk/run, do you bounce? Or do you stride?

      Do you clench your fists, or do you allow your arms to be free?

      Do you move in a straight line, or does your entire body move from side to side?

      I never knew a thing about form until my husband trained me, and it made all the difference!

      Don't push it! You'll get there! {{{woman}}}
