  • Help, Advice Needed!!!

    All,

    I really need advice. I'm at the last 10 lbs of fat that needs to go. I've been going to the gym regularly but I did "overdo" it on the working out, and "underdo" it on the eating. I just got so excited to be getting significantly smaller that I went too far. So, I took the week off of working out, to really rest. I upped my food intake, and got regular on my vitamins and minerals/aminos.

    So, I am looking for advice. How do I safely lose the last 10 lbs of fat and really get firm/cut? I don't want to kill myself, just make steady progress and really get the body of my dreams. (well, the best body I can have for my frame...etc.).

    What should I be eating, how often, etc? Should I do more cardio, lighter weights?

    Who knew that getting so close to my goals would present it's own challenges??? But, that's ok, I listened to my body...it said "REST, and EAT!" and I did. I feel better, and am now ready to take this last phase of the journey safely and correctly.

    Cardio is key to carving out the body of your dreams ... You will burn more fat if you do cardio longer and slower .. (i.e. running ..) If you have a HRM, then I suggest you use it to make sure you are getting the maximum fat burning results from your cardio workouts. Weight training is good too .. If you have an exercise ball, that will give you a good over all toning workout.

    You should be eating calories so that you aren't in a calorie deficit for your workouts. I would focus on more veggies and lean proteins. AND THE TOTAL ELIMINATION OF ALL SUGARS AND STARCHES.

      Thanks much! I don't do sugar or refined starches. I only eat whole grains occasionally. But, I'm thinking I need to eat lean protien and veggies on a more regular basis...like 5 small meals a day. I really wasn't eating enough.

        It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!




        I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
