    Over 1000 Miles Done! Goal Now Is 1400 By Year End

    WOOHOO, TODAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2005, I HAVE GONE OVER THE 1,000 MILE MARK FOR THE YEAR!! So now, I am changing my goal to 1400 miles by the end of 2005.

    Ordered me a new pair of shoes today, so once I get them, I'll be raring to go!!

    Mileage through September 24, 2005:

    1004.3 miles

                      Your running is so impressive. I can't even fathom running 1 mile. And here you've run 1000 miles in less than 9 months. How on earth have you done it? How many pairs of shoes have you been through to accomplish this amazing task? You go girl!!

                        On my 1000 journey, I've gone through approx 5 pair of shoes. I don't wear them out, but I can tell when its time to replace them.

                        Ya know, girl, 2 years ago running a mile was IMPOSSIBLE for me. Totally. If I could run a block, I was happy. THE KEY IS PERSEVERENCE AND PERSISTENCE. You run a block, then add another ... it really is true that the journey of 1000 miles begins with one step. Set your goals high and go for it! Ignore the naysayers who will discourage you ... (believe me, I have plenty of 'em ..) JUST DO IT!!
