Re: Cool Running for the Week of Oct. 2nd

OK I just had to lay down, I wasn't feeling very well. Maybe I pushed to hard trying to run ten. Prudence may be the better part of valor regarding the half Sunday. Water and some food helped, I didn't eat beofre the run or drink during it. That was probably the issue. Rookie mistakes.

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

4 more miles tonight time was pretty good 41:21:06. Ok so I don't mind running in the evening, but after the sun goes down, I am just too chicken.--10 miles for today total.(6am-4pm)

Jim you take it easy. We know you can do it, you just have to reserve some energy for that new cutie of yours.

Sarah, hope you are feeling better.

Rach, girl, you kill me!! 10 miles today!! WOWZER!!

Sarah and Jim, you guys take care!! Diana is right; there will ALWAYS be races to run!

I did 3.5 tonight. DH kept me up last night watching Monday Night Football on our new 55" bigscreen ... so today I was BEAT. Didn't feel much like running after a long day of MORE training at work, but I went anyway.

            GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

Re: Cool Running for the Week of Oct. 2nd

WOW I had a great run and the best time I have ever had it felt like I was sooo much lighter like I was floating I was unable to run alll day I was really upset I like to run 1 hour but, to offset not being able to do 1 hour I just set my sights on 3 miles and wanted to see how fast I could run it. I ran the 3 miles in 34:20 which is the best time I have ever done I was cranking along on my treadmill at a good clip and I am proud of myself. I really pushed it out and did it and that's what counts. It was funny I got on there thinking oh, I'll run this fast but my legs just wanted to go faster and faster it felt sooo good like I was flaoting till the end when I really pushed my limits pumping my 198 pound body at 6.5 MPH on that thing which in the real world is more like 7.5 MPH WOOHOO. Hard to belive what a few pound will do to your running and stamina it amazes me.

Take care all I am on cloud 9.

Look at speedy Sarah!!!! Great job.

6 miles this morning. 1:05:19. Three min slower than yesterday, but then again I did run 4 extra miles last night. I hope to be able to do that again today, but all depends on hubby's schedule.

Reveal, Jim, I am soooo excited for you guys this weekend!!!!

Betty, what a trooper. Late night and long day at work-yet still she goes out to run. Yep Running Diva for sure.

Only 4 weeks and 3 days until the half and every one of your races gets me more excited!!!! I really feel great out there now, like a real athlete. I want to push as hard as healthily possible. Sure as **** beats sitting on the couch wallowing in self pity and depression

Tex, you're gonna do so amazing on race day! I'll be cheering all you guys on! I'm off work today and was up at 5:00am to drive my mum to the airport (she's off to California then Hawaii). I figured since I was up anyways, might as well get my 4K run in and my hour of upper body weights. I might go for a 20-30k cycle later, we'll see. Or, I just might curl up with my book! Have a great day everyone.

Re: Cool Running for the Week of Oct. 2nd

Mon--25 min--Was supposed to be 40 min, but I had to cut it short b/c I woke up late, and I was rather fatigued from the weekend and TOM...uugghhh...

Tues.--back on schedule, 45 min run at about 10 min/mi pace; ballet class for an hour, and we did free-standing barre work (out on the floor, so nothing to hold onto)--worked EVERYTHING, and my rear got a pretty good workout (like it wasn't getting a good enough one already from running, hahahaha)

Wed--rest day for me; I may try to get in some weight training tonight--we'll see. I have been having foot issues for the past 3 weeks, and from new info I looked at tonight for our upcoming seminar with RRFit, it seems like it might be Morton's Neuroma--basically my 3rd and 4th digits on my left foot are numb/tingly most of the time, and on my foot in between them it is tender and sometimes painful--it started after a long day of substitute teaching in high heels that put a lot of pressure on the balls of my feet...sigh...I am going to try to get it checked out in the next few days...Just what I need.

35 min run tomorrow (before the scheduled 8 miler on Sat--which I will miss while I am out-of-town)--then off to RunTex for another pair of shoes to alternate with my 4 week old Adrenalines...

Yeah--I started posting again in last week's thread--I've been at ADBB for about 2 years, but haven't read/posted much over the past 6 mos or so...Life happens, ya know?

Great job, everyone! Belinda, you are doing fabulous!! Sarah, what can I say, you are the PRINCESS of running! Rach, you are gonna ROCK that half!!! I just know it! Revea and Jim, I can't wait to hear how you did!!

I didn't run last night since my "boys" were on the ice (that's what I call my fav hockey team, the TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING!!) Anyway, it was opening night and we beat the Carolina Hurricanes, 5-2. The Stanley Cup Champions banner was FINALLY hoisted last night which was so cool to watch!

I'll be out there tonight though, even if its raining which is what they are forecasting. Oh heck, what difference does it make whether the rain drips in your eyes, or if its sweat??

Have a great day!! Tomorrow is Friday!!
