  • Cool Running for the week of October 23, 2005

Nobody started the thread yet? Its Monday evening! What's going on??

Okay, I did 5.3 tonight right after work! Talk about resistance ... I ran into a 40 mph + wind ... I could barely keep my feet on the ground! Wilma blew by and I'm tellin' ya ... ITS WINDY! But cool and NO HUMIDITY!! Could it really be fall in west central Florida after all??

Yep, supposed to be the upper 40s tonight! WOOHOO!! Gotta love that!

Well, I decided to do a second half marathon next February 26 ... a month after the WDW halfer ... yep, two within a month of each other! I'm so psyched!

45 min here today--a really COLD 45 min--woohoo! My legs were a little chapped though--I forgot to put on my Bodyglide...Now with some decent fall weather upon us, I've discovered I need to wear some gloves--any suggestions for some good ones amenable to running?

    Tomorrow we start our speedwork--yikes!

    Have a good one everybody!

Sorry. Hubbie left yesterday morning so things were hectic here Sunday. I did 2 miles as I was not feeling well and it was also crazy windy outside. (I just couldn't stay too far from the potty) sorry. Yesterday I did 4 miles in 41:06. I also found a little dinosaur on the road which is my smallest sons "big interest" of the moment. So I ran the last 2 miles with a T-Rex in my hand. Pretty funny. Now my oldest is expecting me to find a power ranger on today's run.--geesh. Great job with you Sat run Betty and your 9 miles Belinda.
And Betty only two in one month. You animal.

6 miles in 54.21. I have to wake up at 4:30 tomorrow to get in the miles as MIL can't spend the night tomorrow and has to leave by 5:30 am.

First day of speedwork--10 min warm up, 8x30-30, 10 min cool down. I did the sprints on my street, and when I passed some walkers; I think they must have thought I was a bit nuts, flying past them at "top" speed...

I feel good though. Tomorrow is an off day in the schedule, but if they have hill training tomorrow night, I'm going--Now this is when I wonder what has happened to me that I voluntarily go run these steep hills! Gotta love it!

I'm not sure if I'll be running this Blister on the left foot is wrecking havock and wouldn't you know I was wearing my sandles and the top came right of DAMNIT. So it's raw really sore and I don't know if it can take any type of friction. If I do run I'll have to tape my foot and will have to cut back the milage wouldn't you know when I get going towards a goal I get my first running injury of sorts OK NEW SOCKS> darn it. that's what I am buying myself today hope they are not oo expensive.
