  • Two Full Years Of Running

That's right; as of today, October 31, 2005, I have been running for 2 FULL YEARS!!

I started out running November 1, 2003 .. I committed to run "until Christmas" that year; once Christmas came, I was TOTALLY HOOKED. That's the beauty of exercise; you get so inspired by the endorphins you just want to keep on going and going!!

If you want to begin an exercise program, but the idea seems daunting, do what I did; commit to 2 months and see how you feel at the end of it! I guarantee you will absolutely love how great it makes you look and feel and you won't EVER EVER want to quit!!

If this reformed couch potato turned runner can do it at mid-life, ANYBODY CAN! MAKE PROGRESS NOT EXCUSES!

    Come on!

Betty-- you are such an amazing woman! If I could run without disrupting the fault lines that ran along the Rockies, I'd be right there with you.

Until then, count me as one of your biggest (literally) fans!

Awesome job, Betty. Not only do you prove that Atkins can be done long term, but you are proving and demonstrating what positive exercise looks like. To be truthful, I can't imagine you ever being a couch potato though. If I ever need a boost, I just need to look in your miles thread for the day, and think if Betty is out there, why can't I do my miles today.

Keep it up, you ARE certainly inspiration!

Kent, What a nice thing to say!!! Oh believe me, I was a bonafide couch potato whose only exercise was flipping the remote! Just to refresh your memory .. here's what sitting on the couch did for me:

          UGH!!!!!!! NEVERMORE NEVERMORE!!
