  • Just need a pat on the back ;)

I won't even tell you how long it's been since I exercised. I'd like to claim that chasing after five kids ages seven and under is exercise enough, but...well...considering where I'm at now, it obviously isn't

So, I bit the bullet, got in my "exercise clothes" (Oh my goodness, I can't even begin to tell you how hideous I looked!) and spent an hour in the exercise room in my husband's office building. The first ten minutes on the eliptical were AWFUL. I thought I was going to die. After about five minutes I was convinced I just needed to get off that dang thing and stay fat the rest of my life. But, after ten minutes...it actually got easier! I was amazed! Five miles on that thing, five miles on the stationary bike and 1000 meters on the ergometer and I was sweating like a pig, but a very happy, bound to be healthy pig! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it felt!

So, I've convinced my husband (who pretty much never watches the kids) to keep them busy for an hour and a half, four days a week, in his office break room while I work out (he has to be in the building for me to be there). I can't believe I'm actually doing this.

      woo hoo for you.

Now just a little info for tomorrow when you see the scales if your look. Your muscles think some horrible monster was after you for you to put that big a workout on them so they are going to super hydrate tonight to be ready should that monster come back again so they can get you away from it. Soon your muscles will learn that that is their normal load and release the fluids they are holdoing.

      Happy low carbing.

That is awesome, congrats on getting exercise into your life! w00t!

And that DH is going to pitch in and watch the kids so you can go to the gym! Having that kind of support is really going to help!

WAY to go that's excellent And like 2BIG said don't be worried about the scale fluctuating up here for the next few days till your body gets used to the exercise.

            Kealoha,

Good for you! I just started exercising four days ago and I already feel better. I still hate it, but I like how it makes me feel when I am done. The worst part is just putting on my shoes.
