  • Need an exercise recommendation...

    Hello All,

I have the Walking tape with Leslie Sansone that is 1, 2 or 3 miles so I have that part covered, but I would like a tape that is like what we did in PE when I was in school. You know, sit-ups, push-ups, leg lifts and stuff like that. Does anyone have any ideas for a tape like that?

I know, I know-- I still hate exercise, but I need to work on my core to lose this belly. The walking is great, but I played softball for 12 years so I still have lots of muscle in my legs so I need to do that, plus something else.

    Thanks you all!

Hi! I saw you had yoga booty ballet, so you're familiar w/beachbody. Try Slim in 6 by Debbie Siebers (don't get it confused with the Slim series). It's a really good place to start to build your strength. We often refer to her as the Squat **** . Most of us who hate exercise and are starting out see the most results from this the fastest, I have a goal to be able to complete the series by the end of the year and start the new year with Power 90 if you want to join me..... You can order from beachbody.com .

I still think Si6 is the best program out there, but then y'all already knew that. It's the one program I go back to time and time again.

I have the Old Slim In Six program...where the first tape is 55 minutes instead of the new first tape which is something like 25 minute. Other than that, Ramp It Up (the 2nd video) and Burn It Up (the 3rd video) are the same.

        Awesome awesome awesome.

Deb, you might want to head for the library too to check out a huge variety of exercise programs and whatnot- and it won't cost you a penny to check them out and see what you think and what trips your trigger.

          Brook,

I never even thought of the library! Good idea. I bought the Slim in Six tape last night and a couple more so my goal is to be an exercise junkie. Anyone wanting to get me gifts...send tapes (that is what I have told my family).

            I am excited...

            Hey all,

I am so excited. I just got the confirmation on the order I placed with Collage Video and my "Quick Fix: Cardio Hip Hop with Juliane Arney" and "Street Dance with Nekea Brown" will be here on Friday so I can try a new exercise tape. I am hoping that in addition to exercising my butt, I will learn to shake my booty like Brook so my husband and I can go out dancing sometime. I mean, I have never done that before!

My Slim n 6 video will be here sometime next week too so I will try that out then.

Yep, I have officially gone insane. I have bought more than one exercise tape and I have done one for five days now.

I love my tapes, but OMG they get boring after a while. Sometimes you can find old tapes at yard sales and flea markets for nothing, just so you can have some variety. I love all my WATP tapes, but I have learned to turn off the sound and add my own music.

I wish I had started Atkins back in the summer when I could have gotten out more for exercise.

                    Betty,

I am an exercise novice. If you can point me to an Internet site with one on it, I will add it to my Christmas list today! Man, my list is different from last year...all this exercise stuff is on it and an Atkins cookbook. Good grief Charlie Brown I am morphing into a healthy person!

Betty...get ready to be proud of me...

                          Betty,

Guess what! My new tapes came and I did the 30 minute 2-mile tape with Leslie Sansone and then I popped in one of the new tapes called Cardio Hip Hop and did 10 minute Cardio kick in the with an evil woman named Juliane Arney. She is pure evil, but she has abs of steel!
