My hubby has RA and most exercise is out of the question. The one thing he could do is swimming or water aerobics but we do not have access to a pool. Is there anyone out there who has RA and has some suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Any Suggestions???
Can your Hubby walk I know walking is one exercise Most doctors will recommend for RA if it's Rhumatoid) My mom had it she passed away and she felt best when she was more active the cold months were the worst but, a nice walk looseren her up and she felt better. Also I know statioary recombrant bikes are another one that is good and used in Physio therapy clinics for people with Rhumatoid. We had one but, my MOM hated it so she walked. That may be an idea. To what extent is you DH disease are his Jonts malformed as of yet or Just stiff the progression can be dramatic but, can be slower with massage and movement.

Re: Any Suggestions???
Cleo: Yes it is;
Sarah: His disease is well advanced affecting feet, knees and hands. His walking is somewhat improved since having both knees replaced but it's not something he can do for long enough to get much benefit.
2big: I have never heard of one of those do you have any information?
I really appreciate all your input. BTW Cleo. I joined this board because of the pictures you posted on the HT board. I'm amazed at all the success stories I've been reading here. You are all an amazing and inspiring bunch of people. As soon as I get my book I'll begin my own induction phase.HW/CW/GW 213/195/150 5'9"

Re: Any Suggestions???
2Big Thank you so much. I popped in our zip and there is one about 30 miles from us. He's decided if I'd take him he'll go. Which will work out nicely because they also allow perimeter walking at the mall nearby. I'll drop him off and go walk.
Thanks again.
